lol - wouldn't it be a riot if it were for the new design-a-weapons (which were added to dat file this last update)?

The people who collected minis instead of weapons would now have the opportunity to trade for something they don't want - a weapon

And the people who just sold their pigs to buy things like weapons would now have no way of getting the new weapons.

Also - we know we can trade dedicated minis - but do they have to be dedicated in our own HOM or can we trade dedicated minis we bought from others too?

Course I'm guessing that it will be a minipet and any dedicated pig will work - but if I'm wrong this could be a very interesting event - looking forward to tomorrow with bated breathed.

Also the price seems to have stuck at 20-30k rather than 100k :P

The prices will go up when everyone is starting to trade in their pigs and the supply of pigs is going down.

Events and festivals are supposed to be carefree, fun, happy times (at least in my thoughts of how they're supposed to be) but I can't help feeling more along the lines of doom, drama, and upset people from this event. It just feels like there's more tension and frustration than anything else.

Eh, there's always that amongst gamers. No matter whether an event went particularly well and smoothly, someone will ALWAYS find something to moan about. Life just isn't life without drama, according to some.

Warning, shocking conent below in the context of those who are savvy with my posting record:

After the Gaile log, I was quite surprised to see that I was indeed, wrong, about how this was going to unfold. Although it doesn't really affect my enjoyment of the game, it is odd that they are choosing a bizzare mini trade in system. Can't say I agree with it, as it shows a weird direction of choices in my opinion. No QQ, not asking for anything for free, just a weird observation on my part.

Unless....

People who are hoarding pigs will hand over their pigs to get a gorgeous, super-mini, which everyone will be apeshit about, and then when the final event happens, and the "volatile" gift is given, the minis turn out to be a bomb that perma-kills the char and account. Take that greedy fooks!

Why can't people just wait and see what the weekend brings? It just seems that
everyone acts like a bunch greedy 6 year olds waiting for Santa Claus. Please remember that this is an special event that ANET could just as well said not this year we are too busy with GW2. I know I will just take things as they come and enjoy whatever that may be.

End of event, also through lunar tokens, as you mentioned, top people in rollerbeetle racing, or possibly a new, unmentioned npc that gives the new mini (hard quest? gold? some other itmes?). Those are my guesses if not the mini pig collector.

Gaile was in SJM late last night (AZ time), and said that people shouldn't be buying pigs. No, I don't have the log -- but anyone who was there would be able to back that up.

Are we certain that only rats are gained via the new fortunes? Not rats *and* pigs?
